Cool day! I always look forward to Mothers Day because my Zachary never disappoints me. As long as he has been old enough he has always given me the coolest things and always makes my day so special. This year was no different. My day started by sleeping in late. When I got up at 9:00 am, Zachary ordered me back to my bed and brought me breakfast in bed. Scrambled eggs, toast, fresh fruit, and my favorite coffee and fresh flowers from our yard. Zachary gave me a card with "Zach's Bucks" inside. So adorable! There were 4 of them. One free day of diaper changes, One hour of free babysitting, One free car wash (exterior only- he knows me too well!) and one trip to Johnnys Market to get flowers to plant in the front yard and in the window boxes. These "bucks" were so creative. He cut out school pictures from the last few years and stuck them on. And above his name it says "In Zach we dont trust" instead of "in God we trust". LOL ..Last year I got a coupon for free diaper changes and it somehow expired prior to mothers day and I was unable to use it. Loopholes. That kid lives for loopholes. Jokes on him though, this year there is 2 hineys that need changing, and there is no expiration. Trust me, its the first thing I looked for. Now my coupons are safely tucked away so they cannot be tampered with.
Zachary and I went and got flowers together, then ran a few errands. Later on I took both boys on a short walk and then we came home and watched videos of Zachary as a toddler. His mannerisms reminded me a lot of Ryans.
Thanks Zachary for always making Mothers Day so special that I forget how sad it really is. Love you bud.
