I foolishly went outside on the back patio to have a private phone conversation. Sitting out there with my favorite WW water bottle on my cell, I catch something moving toward me out of the corner of my eye. My first thought is that it was a cat. Small, furry, and the same color as my Chloe. Then I realize "that aint no cat" and its about 2 feet away moving closer. I FREAK out, jump up, abandoning my favorite cup and start screaming into the phone. The door to get in the building is only about 3 feet away but the damn raccoon is in my way and only a mear few inches. WTH? Arnt these damn things supposed to be afraid of people? I had no food. So now I dance around the thing and get inside. Then I notice there are 2. And its scratching at the door like it wants to get in and eat me. As Im taking this picture from my cell phone Im pulling on the door with all my strength so the thing cant outsmart me and get inside. HA! I showed him! Then I notice my favorite WW cup is still outside, and I ponder weather rabies is really worth my $6 water bottle. Disappointed, but I think no.
So I go to operations and Im literally shaking from my close encounter and Im pretty wound up, and I say "Paul, (who is an animal rights activist and Peta follower) theres raccoons on the back deck! You might want to put something out there to warn people not to go out there!" He non chalontly says "ya there out there a lot".. I say "Paul, did ya hear me Paul?, RACCOONS ON THE PATIO!" He tells me they are harmless and he has "talked" to them before. Uh, OK. Then I tell him I left my water bottle out there, and he says he would get it for me no problem. Im like "ok, but you dont have to if you dont feel like getting bitten". 10 minutes later, my favorite WW water bottle is returned, and I say "Thanks Paul,...uh, do you think they licked it?" He just laughed, shook his head and walked away. I mean c'mon look at the thing, its ferocious isnt it?

Yes, she did! And no, no warming up. Didnt warm up to the squirrel she had either.
She wouldn't hurt you! That's the momma, and she has a lot of babies. They come up to the door all the time.. I took pictures of them the other day. Paul visits them all the time, so I don't think you would get much help there!
