INTERESTING
I just read that Neil Diamond has confessed after 40 years of silence, that "Sweet Caroline" was written after Caroline Kennedy. Pretty cool huh? He said he once saw a picture of her as a little girl dressed to the nines in her riding gear looking very innocent. Years later, he remembered the picture and wrote the song within an hour. He said he hoped one day to hell her if if he ever met her. So he had the opportunity when he was invited to sing at her 50th birthday (holy cow, who can believe shes 50!) Neat huh?

I heard that this morning on the CBS Early Show. Very sweet.
I heard this on the radio this afternoon, but they were talking about some of the lyrics and how inappropriate they were because of her age at the time.
