I just celebrated 12 yrs, I know what you are saying. It does go by quick. The problem as I see it is that It keeps getting worse instead of better. People on the phone are much more rude than when I started. They all want something for nothing. They do not realize we are a not a non profit organization. I had a guy the other day show up with his wife at the airport. It seems he was non reving on DL and after 4 days bought himself a tkt as he had to get home. He bought a 3 day advance. Then he shows up at the airport and wants the same fare for his wife. When I explain that I cant do that because why should I allow him the fare without advance when someone else would be willing to pay the fare. He then requests compensation for spending more money on her ticket. UNBELIEVABLE.... Well congrats maybe you can hang out long enough to get life time flight benifits and then become a Walmart greeter.
A walmart greeter is looking appealing to me after a night of BMAS calls. (Thats lost baggage calls to you non AAers). But your right, people are alot more rude these days. It just doesnt seem possible that its been that long. I was just a baby when I started! A whole 19 years old! What a long strange trip its been....
