Who's watching Ghost Whisperer with me? Mary Jo, I know you are. Are we guessing that Gabriel is her brother? I thought it was kinda a week ending compared to last year. That was the season finale I think. They should have left her dead until the next season. That woulda been a better clifhanger, rather than "who's your daddy". Opinions please..

PENG YOU!

Thank God the fortune cookie physics are back from their strike. My latest fortune says "Circumstances do not make the man, they merely revel himself to himself". Ok a little kookey, but better than advice not to kiss elephants. Phew, were back on track, I was getting worried. And in case your wondering "friend" in Chinese is "peng you". I think we need to be collecting these so that next time we order food we can speak Chinese. Here's what I got..."Peng you, General Tso's was hao-chi. Hai-ze love it. Next time no shu-cai" ..That translates to "Friend, general tso's was delicious. Children love it. Next time, no vegetables." LOL...Pretty good huh? That's more than I learned in a whole year of Spanish in high school!
I just realized its been over a year since I quit smoking! Holy Crap! Still miss it, still crave it, still mostly like the smell. But I cant go back. Its too damn hard to quit.

SPIN OFFS

Ok lets talk about Greys Anatomy and that 2 hour spin off last week. I HATED IT! I liked the Greys stuff but hated the spin off stuff. I like Addison cuz she is rough around the edges and has an attitude but at the same time she cares about her patients. Last nights episode the portrayed her as a big ball of mush, crying all the time. Weve never heard her say or act like she wanted a baby before. (Suzie says she remembers her saying that). Ok, she wants a relationship and a change, but it wasn't believable for her to say, "Oh, I guess I want a baby". Then the black girl she referred to as her best friend. Huh? We've never heard of her either. They should have slowly written all this stuff in instead of pulling it out their ass. It just wasn't our Addison.
Then they have her talking to invisible elevator people as if she would not be able to tell the difference between a thought and a real person? Ridiculous. Oh than the 3 of them sitting around checking out this barley legal kid who is not hot and is not as buff as they are making him out to be? Stupid. He is not even close to a "McAnything."
Im no expert on spin offs but We knew Mrs Garrett long before The facts of life. We knew the Jeffersons from All in the Family as the Bunkers neighbors. We knew Frasier from his stool at Cheers long before the show "Frasier". And we knew about these characters. And I just see Tim Daly as the dorky guy from Wings, not some womanizer. That kiss was a wee bit creepy if you ask me. You dont kiss the dorky guy from Wings like that. I must have missed something, I havnt a clue who that Cooper guy is. Maybe it will grow on me, but so far- not so good. I hope this show flunks and she comes back to Seattle Grace.
One new show I am loving is Notes From the Underbelly. I can totally appreciate it having just been pregnant. And I think the girl (I forget her name, the main character) reminds me of Judy. Anyone else see that? I know your gonna laugh at me Jude, but its true! I think she looks like you!

WERE BAAACK!

We went to Maine this past weekend. Had a great time. We left Friday after Zachary got out of school and came home Sunday night. The kids were great on the drive up. Ryan slept most of the way. We stopped at the NH liqueur store on the way there and stocked up. It was about a 3 hour ride. That's as much as Steve and I can stand being in a car. We stayed in Ogunquit, at a place called The Anchorage By the Sea. Nice hotel. My only complaint about the place is that it didn't have a coffee maker in the room. Which, a you know, is an important detail to me! Of course I had brought our own coffee and fixins but there was no coffee maker..grrr. Anyway, more importantly the hotel was very clean. I think they must have just completed renovations because everything was new. New bathtub, new windows, new paint and tile etc. The hotel was right on the beach and also along a trail called the Marginal Way. That was really cool. Its a 1 1/4 mile walk along the coastline. Click here for some pictures. Actually in the picture 2nd from the bottom on the first page, is the hotel we stayed at. http://seacoastnh.com/Travel/Scenic_Walks/Marginal_Way/
So Friday we didn't do too much. We got up there kinda late, then went out to dinner and checked out the hotel and that was about it. Saturday we got up and had breakfast then drove to Old Orchard Beach and I showed Steve the area and neighborhood we used to vacation as kids (and later as adults). We went on the beach there but we didnt stay too long. I wanted to walk the beach but Ryan was asleep in is car seat and he is too heavy to lug that thing around on a walk and obviously the big stroller wouldn't work in the sand. It was still really cool to me to be able to show him all around to a place that means so much to me. Then we went to Len Libbys candy store in Scarborough, home to Lenny the 1700 lb chocolate moose. http://www.lenlibby.com/lenny.htm Steve was in heaven with all that chocolate!
Back to the hotel to regroup. The boys went swimming in the hotel pool. I dont dare get my fat ass in a bathing suit. We went on our mile walk on the Marginal Way and had dinner at the Lobster Shack in Perkins Cove. Lobster roll and steamers for me..yummmm. Walked another mile back to the hotel and packed the car up and headed to Kittery to do some shopping. We got a few stores in before they closed. Zachary made out like a bandit. We were at the Nautica store and he was talking about the cologne he likes thats discontinued. The girl goes in the back and gives him this giant bottle of the stuff and says he can have it free! Had to have been a $60.00 bottle easily. He was on cloud 9! Sunday we took the scenic route along the coast to Nubble Light house. Very pretty and picturesque. Then we continued back to Kittery and did some more shopping. We got a few good deals but for the most part Kittery outlet stores are the same prices as regular stores. Steve and Zachary were impressed at the size of the trading post. So that was our trip in a nutshell. We had a great time but it wasnt long enough. But at the same time Im glad to be home and not be on the go all the time!

YOU SUSPECT YOUR HUSBAND MIGHT BE A REDNECK IF...

He drives by a pile of dirt, gets all excited and says "Now, thats some good loam! Would you look at that dirt?"
