NST
Went for my weekly NST on Tuesday. Still have a lot of fluid. I asked the nurse how much more do I have than a normal pregnancy. She said normal is considered anywhere from 5-20 centimeters of amniotic fluid, and I have 29! Jeesh! She said "thats not a lake in there, baby has her own ocean". I really liked this woman, it was as if she really felt my pain, and understood. She said "Aw honey, I hope everyone feels sorry sorry for you, you must be in so much agony, theres no faking it, thats a big belly and its all fluid, you must be so uncomfortable". Most people make me feel like a circus freak when they gasp and say "are you sure there's just one in there?" Makes me want to slap them upside the head and scream "Im really not overeating!" As if I need to defend myself to anyone. People think they are being funny, but really its so offensive. Anyway, as I said before having so much fluid puts me at risk for premature labor because their is so much pressure on my uterus, it mistakenly thinks Im farther along than I really am. The good news is that as soon as my water brakes, Im just going to deflate! I have my C section scheduled and in less than a month she will be here! I think I will end up going on my own before my section date anyway. Im so ready to be done! Stay tuned!

OUR LITTLE GIRL
Here she is making her debut! She has her hand up at her mouth. We got a lot of great 3D pics. They are so cool! She looks like her brother with those chubby cheeks! She is just about 5 lbs now, and if she stays on track, she will be between 7-8lbs. Shes not measuring as enormous as she once was. Doesnt matter to me since I wont be pushing her out! But my guess is that she will be over 8 lbs. There still is a lot of amneotic fluid. The dr called it "her pool". This is risky for 2 reasons. One being premature labor. The uterus is continueing to grow and contract, thinking the baby is what is making it big, but really its just fluid. The other risk is because there so much fluid, theres more room for her to swim, and that could mean the cord getting wrapped. That scares me more than the premature labor but to the docs the premature labor is the biggest concern. Good to know Im going to loose most of this baby weight just when the baby comes and theres no more fluid! Anyway, now I have to go for weekly non stress tests so they can monitor her heart rate and another ultrasound in a month. I had one yesterday and everytime the nurse pushed on the monitor, the baby would kick her right back. It was really cute. She was also breech. Not that that really matters because of the C section. As you can see I still have my name poll still up, but our choices in names have changed slightly. Grace Ellen is still probably number one, though were still open to that changing. Im really into Katelyn August these days. Kate for short. We have edged out Megan, Lindsey and Brooke, much to Zacharys dismay. We still like Abby, but probably not more than the other 2, and my good friend Liz may have an Abby (or a Jack?) a week before me. We really have to see our baby girl first and in person, not on ultrasound. Steve said "What if she doesnt look like a Grace? What if she looks like a Maria?" I told him I was pretty sure she wasnt going to look at all like a Maria. LOL. I mean that in the nicest of ways, any Marias reading, take no offense!
